Durga Pujo feast has two parts!
One is Bhog, which mean the food we offered to God and then distribute amongst common people!
And the second part is a feast for five days, where we not only savour the traditional Bengali delicacies but also dishes that influenced the food culture of Calcutta like Egg Chicken roll, Moghlai Porota, Mangsher chop!
Begun Bhaja is deep-fried Eggplant or Brinjal or Aubergine! Plumpy and moist inside and has an amber coloured crusty texture on the top.
